Nashville, TN - As a new, more contagious strain of the coronavirus begins appearing across the United States; doctors are encouraging Americans to double-up on their face coverings.
Even Dr. Anthony Fauci told the Today Show, "If you have a physical covering with one layer, and you put another layer on, it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective."
Not all Americans are on board. A new group of anti-double-maskers is defiantly vowing they will only wear one mask.
"I'll put on one mask out of respect for the people around me, but not two," said one self-proclaimed anti-double-masker. "I don't like people that much."
Worth noting, the group is seeing a large number of anti-maskers who initially refused to wear any mask now willing to put on one mask to protest the wearing of two masks.
One anti-masker explained, "I'm only wearing this mask as a strategy. As a total anti-masker, I'm fighting against the maskers, the double-maskers, and the anti-double-maskers. As an anti-double-masker, I've reduced my enemies to just the double-maskers. That's a third fewer enemies."
In related news, a small group of scientists is now recommending Americans wear three masks just to be safe.
