Inspired by Nashville marathoners, local man makes 26.2-mile beer run

Lebanon, TN - A local man says he was so inspired by news coverage of the Nashville Marathon that he got in his truck and made a 26.2-mile beer run on Thursday night.

"I saw a story about a man who has been training years for this event, and it really inspired me. I figured the least I could do was make a 26.2-mile trip to the liquor store to get some Natty Light," said the man. "You know, to show my support."

It's been two and half years since Nashville has held its last marathon, and the day is almost here. The race kicks off on Saturday morning.
