New York, NY - According to reports, Johnny Depp was immediately confused for Jared Leto when he arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing Iris van Herpen on Monday night.
As Depp walked the red carpet, photographers yelled " Jared" repeatedly, to which the star did not respond.
When Leto arrived minutes later wearing Gucci, the mistake became apparent.
"I thought for sure it was Leto. But Depp makes sense. They both get so lost in their characters. I guess that's true of fashion, as well," said one photographer.
Either way, both received high accolades for their gala choices.
