Local man seeks matching donor for emergency eyebrow transplant

Nashville, TN - Nashville native Billy Williams is desperately seeking a matching donor for an emergency eyebrow transplant.

Williams says he was duct-taping the rear bumper of his car when a pre-torn piece of tape fell off the trunk lid and stuck to his forehead. Not realizing the tape was also attached to his eyebrow, he quickly ripped it off, along with 99% of his left brow.

"I didn't even know it was missing until I looked down at the duct tape. At first, I thought I'd killed a caterpillar," Williams told reporters.

Neighbors say they heard Williams yelling for his wife, Kelly, to call an ambulance while he frantically packed the eyebrow on ice. He later learned that doctors couldn't save it.

"Sadly, they couldn't reattach it," said Williams. "And the doctors don't think it will grow back."

Now, Billy and Kelly are on a nationwide search for a matching donor. And family and friends have started a GoFundMe to finance the quest.

"We're not giving up," Kelly Williams wrote on their Facebook page. "And with your help, Billy will be back to normal in no time."

Interested donors can reach the Williams on their webpage. Eyebrows must be bushy, black, or near black to be considered.
