Nashville, TN - Ralph Johnson, 44, was thrilled when his kids asked him to take them to the GLOW Nashville event, but was disappointed to learn that it was a holiday attraction and not an elaborate wrestling event featuring the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.
Johnson told reporters, "When we walked in, I just thought it was a Christmas-themed wrestling show. I kept waiting for Colonel Ninotchka to show up on the ice skating rink or Big Bad Mama to come down the tubing hill. After about an hour of no fighting, I finally asked this young employee who had no idea what I was talking about. So yeah, I was disappointed."
According to witnesses, Johnson spent the rest of the night sitting on a park bench watching reruns of GLOW on YouTube while the kids enjoyed the park.
A review of the Christmas event posted on Yelp this morning by GLOWfan4ever reads:
"Buyer beware! Yes, this park is unbelievable if you are looking for Christmas festivities, but it features zero Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Very disappointing in that regard. They need to post a sign at the entrance or,even better, just add a few wrestlers to the park."
It is unclear if Johnson is GLOWfan4ever, but a co-worker says he saw him on Yelp minutes before the post went live.
