Nashville, TN - Mother's Day this year, but it didn't stop him from recognizing mom's special day with a handpicked greeting card. The challenge was getting it in the mail.
"To be honest, I thought Mother's Day was next Sunday," said Simpson. "I cut it pretty close, but thankfully it should get there by Tuesday."
Witnesses say they spotted Simpson outside the post office just seconds before the mail's last pick up on Saturday afternoon.
Simpson was later overheard telling his mom, "I sent you a card, but it probably won't get there in time. You know how slow the post office is these days."
Happy Mother's Day!
