Inspiring! Despite injury, man insists on finishing coverage of Boston Marathon

Nashville, TN - Nashville native John Williams is recovering today from a leg injury sustained watching yesterday's Boston Marathon.

"I just happened to turn on the TV as the race was starting and committed to watching the whole thing. At about mile 24-mile mark, I was feeling pretty tired. So, I jogged into the kitchen for a cup of water and twisted my ankle," said Williams.

Despite the injury, witnesses say Williams refused to go to the doctor until the race was over.

A neighbor told reporters, "He just wouldn't give up. Even with the injury, he insisted on watching until the finish line. It was pretty inspiring."

Williams says he is currently resting his ankle and hopes he will be well enough to watch the Nashville marathon this weekend.
