Nashville, TN - Like millions of Americans, Nashville native Steve Smith made a pilgrimage to Taco Bell on Wednesday to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
"I wanted to go somewhere truly authentic to celebrate this authentic Mexican holiday," Smith told reporters. "What can I say? I'm a purist."
According to a Taco Bell employee, Smith ordered three authentic Cool Ranch Doritos Locos tacos and was adamant that they be prepared as close to the original Mexican recipe as possible."
Witnesses say Smith later told the manager that the meal was "muchos buenos" before ordering some genuine Mexican cinnamon twists for his drive home.
He was last seen exiting the parking lot in 2019 Ford Fiesta.
