Lugoff, SC - While the U.S. lumber shortage has been covered numerous times by national media; news outlets have completely ignored one of the most important aspects of the story: the devastating impact the shortage has had on WWE wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Hacksaw, best know for his 2x4, says the rising cost of lumber is threatening his trademark accessory's future.
"I've had to switch to a 1x2," said Hacksaw. "If you're lucky enough to find a 2x4, the price is outrageous."
Yet, you will find no mention of Hacksaw's crisis on any major news channel. It has completely gone uncovered, leaving many questioning why.
"I don't trust the mainstream media. They've been out to get Hacksaw since the André the Giant thing," said one fan.
Still, the word is getting out. One wrestling organization has set up a GoFundMe to buy Hacksaw a lifetime supply of 2x4s, and several lumber companies have donated some spare pieces.
