Mischievous GOP hires Gilbert Gottfried to read all 628 pages of COVID bill to Democrats

Washington, DC - In an attempt to delay voting on a proposed COVID-19 relief bill, mischievous Senate Republicans hired comedian Gilbert Gottfried to read all 628 pages of the document to Democrats on Thursday.

Initially, Senate clerks were tasked with reading the document, but Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. brought Gottfried in at the last minute to take his protest to the next level.

The entire reading took 10 hours, 43 minutes, and 9 seconds.

Gottfried said the reading was the greatest honor of his life, even beyond his time as a spokesman for Aflac.

Democrats declined to comment.
