Nashville Bee Assoc. reminds beekeepers to bring hives indoors during colder temps

Nashville, TN - While Spring has sprung in Music City, there are still some chilly mornings on the horizon in Middle Tennessee.

The Nashville Bee Associations reminded beekeepers to do their part and bring bees indoors during these colder temperatures.

In a Sunday memo, a spokesperson wrote, "You want to be careful when temperatures fall below 45°. At that point, we strongly recommend that you bring the hives indoors."

The memo instructed beemasters to keep the bees comfortable in a well-lit living room or bedroom with indoor temperatures no higher than 100°.

It also encouraged playing light classical music, as studies have found it accelerates the honey-making process.
