Nashville commuters break out snowmobiles after massive 1/4-inch snowfall

Nashville, TN - Commuters across Nashville broke out their snowmobiles on Monday morning after a freak snowstorm dumped a 1/4-inch of snow on the city overnight.

Uber driver Steve Carlton told reporters, "It was either the snowmobile or putting the chains on my tires. This seemed more fun."

Snowmobile traffic was heavy on the interstates I-40 and I-65, even as many workers chose to work from home.

"It's crazy out there," said one commuter. "It took me like five extra minutes to get to work. If you can stay home, stay home. Don't risk it."

Snow is expected to continue to fall on Monday morning but will vanish by noon.
