Nashville man cancels trip to Italy after learning Sistine Chapel coming to Opry Mills

Nashville, TN - When Kevin Anderson discovered his wife's life-long dream was to see the Sistine Chapel, he surprised her with two tickets to Italy for her birthday. The couple was planning to travel for eight days next April.

But just three days after giving her the tickets, Kevin learned that the Sistine Chapel was coming to Opry Mills Mall. He promptly canceled the vacation.

"It just makes sense," Anderson told reporters. "Why wait five months and travel 5,000 miles to Rome when it will be five miles down the road in just a few days?"

Kevin says he plans to treat his wife to Olive Garden on Saturday and let her know about the exciting change in plans.

"She's going to be so surprised," said Anderson. "I can't wait to see her face."
