Nashville, TN - Grandmothers across the nation announced on Sunday that despite the scarcity of thousands of products, there will be no shortage of fruit cakes this year.
A spokesperson for the National Association of Grandma Bakers (NAOGB) told reporters, "We have worked diligently to secure enough ingredients for every grandmother in America to make at least one fruit cake for every member of their family. In some cases, more."
According to reports, family members across the country tended to react to the news similarly.
One granddaughter said, "That's great, grandma, but we don't want you to go to all that trouble. Seriously. Spending time with you is gift enough!"
