New 'Nonessentials Anonymous' support group closes meetings to non-vital members

Nashville, TN - A newly formed support group, Nonessentials Anonymous (NonAnon), has closed all upcoming meetings to non-vital members. Vital members are still welcome to attend on Wednesdays at 7:30.

NonAnon founder, Jerry Toobins, says he created the group to comfort distraught workers who recently discovered their roles are not significant during the lockdown. He had hoped to hold weekly meetings through the end of May but has been asked to cancel them until further notice by city officials.

"We just had so much demand that it became dangerously crowded," Toobins said. "So we will now limit in-person attendance to only a few vital members."

Toobins did not say how the group will determine who are vital members, but he assured us that insignificant members will still have complete access to the online group-chat except for the exclusive lounges set aside for VIPs.
