Nashville, TN - A newly-released rideshare safety video is reminding riders not to get in trunk of pickup vehicle before verifying the driver's name.
The video warns riders, "Before climbing into a vehicle's trunk, it is important to take a moment to ask the driver his or her name."
The video also recommends not traveling alone unless trunk space is limited to one passenger and to never climb in trunk if the vehicle is in motion.
Other safety considerations include:
Don't share unnecessary personal information with the driver
Don't distract the driver with fireworks
Don't accept rides on top of the vehicle unless the cab and trunk are full
