Study finds leftovers taste 10x better when removed from aluminum foil

Nashville, TN - A new Vanderburg University study has determined that leftovers taste 10x better when removed from aluminum foil before consumption.

The 9-year study was part of the University's School of Food Science's mission to reduce food waste by improving the taste and appeal of leftovers.

"Our blindfolded participants told us 10 to 1 that they preferred the leftovers we fed them more when we removed them from the aluminum foil," said James Hatfield, a lead researcher on the project.

Hatfield added that the Leftover Thinktank is now seeking a $10 million grant to see if the findings translate to real-world applications in homes across America.

They hope to complete the study by 2032.
