Tennessee Titans to post up every 20 miles of I-40 during busy travel weekend

Nashville, TN - In an effort to promote greater highway safety during this busy Thanksgiving travel period, the Tennessee Highway Patrol has teamed up with the Tennessee Titans to post players every 20 miles across I-40 throughout the holiday weekend.

To cover I-40's extensive 450 miles in Tennessee, the Titans organization has enlisted both current and former players including Eddie George, Chris Johnson, and Derrick Mason to help cover the distance. No details were provided regarding the locations and scheduling of individual players.

Geraldo Manning, the project organizer, is asking for the cooperation of all motorists to help make this initiative a success. Manning told reporters, "We are counting on every driver and passenger to not stop and ask players for autographs and selfies while they are monitoring traffic. As long as everyone follows the speed limit, doesn't slow down for photos and doesn't pull over to tailgate, we should have a smooth travel weekend."

All together, I-40 runs over 2,500 miles through 8 states, including North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. It is unclear if teams from the other I-40 states will also be suiting up to participate in this new safety program or not.
