Nashville, TN - Millions of Americans woke up on Wednesday morning with one singular thought: "Thank God the election is over." Supporters on both sides tell us they are just excited that the exhausting, divisive political cycle has finally come to an end.
"Thank God it's over," said one man we spoke to at 5:00 a.m. "I'm just glad things are back to normal."
Another woman said, "It's so nice to wake up with a fresh start, no matter who won. We can finally put it all behind us...wait, what time is it?"
These sentiments were echoed by literally hundreds of people we called and woke up early on Wednesday morning. Some were so fed up with politics, they hung up on us immediately.
Still, a few said they are already looking forward to 2024 and plan to vote for Trump again.
