Walmart associate fears higher wage will raise expectation that he helps customers

Nashville, TN - Walmart associate Bill Williams expressed concern this week after the retailer announced it would be raising wages for all of its employees.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about the money," said Williams. "I'm just afraid they are now going to expect me to deal with customers."

Co-workers describe Williams as an interesting guy who mainly keeps to himself. He's best known for disappearing while getting carts in the parking lot and hiding in clothing racks to avoid shoppers' questions.

"Bill's great when it comes to stocking or doing inventory. He's just not really into the customer part of customer service," said one associate.

Williams says he loves the company and hopes to one day go into management, as long as he doesn't have to deal with employees.
