Whataburger fans already camping out at abandoned Applebee's that may be future location

Hermitage, TN - The moment Whataburger announced it may open a Nashville location in an abandoned Applebee's in Hermitage, TN, loyal fans began making pilgrimages to the future site.

Although the beloved burger chain is not expected to open until sometime in 2021 at the earliest, loyal fans are determined to be the first in line.

"I heard if you are the first few in line, you get free burgers for life," said one Nashville man. "So yeah, it's worth several months of my life."

When we asked if the campers are concerned about the approaching winter temperatures, the answer was a resounding, "No."

"I mean, come on, it's Whataburger." said a man who just relocated to Tennessee from Texas. "I think that's worth a little frostbite and hypothermia."

Four other locations are being considered around Middle Tennessee.
