Antioch teens report suspicious post-y note near bloody gun in neighbor’s yard.

Updated: Aug 11, 2019

ANTIOCH, TN— Two unnamed Antioch teens are being called heroes today after reporting a suspicious post-y note they found in a neighbor’s backyard. “We were throwing rocks at Mr. Skeet’s back window when we found it stuck in the ground near the bloody gun. We thought it seemed out of place so we called 911.”

The mysterious 3 by 3 inch note features the numbers “O1” in black ink, but no indication of its meaning. The lead detective at the scene, Det. Bradford, said, “At this point, we are just beginning our investigation. We are dusting the note for prints as we speak and officers are going door-to-door to see if anyone is missing a canary sheet from their sticky pad.”

Betty Rosen, a senior neighbor who saw the whole incident out her kitchen window, said, “These kid are heroes in my opinion. Someone could have easily picked that up and stuck it on someone's back or used it to deface property. Who knows what could have happened if these boys hadn’t done the right thing.” Rosen isn’t the only one recognizing the teens. Mayor Brilley called the high school students this afternoon to invite them to a luncheon later this week.

If you have any information about the sticky note, please call the Antioch crime watchers hotline immediately.
