Nashville, TN - If the historical records are accurate, the last time the Ryman Auditorium saw Bull Riding was on June 16, 1896. Now, according to reports, that's all about to change.
A new bull riding league originally scheduled for the Municipal Auditorium hopes to make its home at the Ryman for summer 2022.
"My granddaddy's granddaddy's granddaddy was one of the last to go 8 seconds in the Ryman, so for me, it's kind of like a homecoming," said Buck McMasterson VIII.
The Ryman Auditorium has a long tradition of mixed uses, from church services to a short-lived Mixed Martial Arts venue. Bull Riding hopes to become a staple at the historic theater.
