Disney+ announces all 26,547 STAR WARS characters getting own series

San Francisco, CA - Days after announcing a dozen new STAR WARS projects featuring Lando Calrissian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Boba Fett, Disney Plus announced on Saturday that all 26,547 characters would be getting their own series on Disney Plus.

"Honestly, we just thought 'what the heck?'," said Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. "Let's give everyone a show."

One of the most anticipated new shows is STAR WARS: Willrow. To some, Willrow Hood is just a little-known character running down a hallway in The Empire Strikes Back, but to millions of loyal fans, he is the Galactic Ice Cream Man.

Lucasfilm producers and crews are working around the clock to complete production on over 3,000 shows for release in 2021. The others will follow in 2022 and 2023.

After reviewing all 26,547 new titles, it appears Jar Jar Binks was left off the list. It is unclear if this is a typographical error or the show is not on the current production roster.

Lucasfilm and Disney did not return our calls for comment.
