Due to record fuel costs, ride-share passengers must now provide their own gas

Nashville, TN - As rising fuel costs take their toll on the transportation industry, ride-share companies are adjusting their policies to support their drivers.

"One company spokesperson told reporters, "Effective immediately, all passengers are required to personally provide enough gas to cover their designated trip."

The spokesperson said customers could either bring their own gas container or ask the driver to stop at a gas station where the passenger can pump the required amount.

According to the website, gas containers must be EPA approved. No garbage bags of fuel will be accepted.
