UPDATE! Nashville's I-40 Pothole Cavern now offering Pedal Tavern tours

Nashville, TN - Less than two weeks after a Nashville adventure company began offering free cavern tours of an I-40 pothole, the company announced on Friday that they have added an exclusive pedal tavern tour of the 40 square mile cavern.

"We are excited to partner with Pothole Pedal Taverns of Nashville to bring this one-of-a-kind attraction to the I-40 cavern," said a spokesperson.

The 60-minute tour costs $35 per person or $350 for a private trolley. 20% of all proceeds go to the Pothole Cavern Preservation Fund of Middle Tennessee.

The website describes the tour as follow:

Your adventure begins as you rappel at 40 MPH into the depths of the legendary I-40 pothole cavern. After a brief safety presentation, you will sign a waiver and begin your once-in-a-lifetime tour of the historic cavern. Your knowledgeable guide/bartender will serve up fascinating facts about the cavern as well as bottomless cups of our delicious "pothole punch." You will conclude your tour by signing a second waiver then climbing a 90-foot rope of the cavern.

Reservations are now being accepted via their website. Tour times are limited.
