Man who found McDonald's burger from 1950s in wall of home says it was delicious

Nashville, TN - A Nashville man who found a McDonald's hamburger from the 1950s in the wall of his home during renovations told reporters on Saturday that the sandwich was still enjoyable after nearly 70 years.

"I mean, it wasn't the freshest burger I've ever had, but it was still pretty delicious," Bill Williams told the media. "I'd definitely have another."

A team of McDonald's historians says the packaging suggests the meal could be from as early as 1948 due to the use of the fast-food chain's original mascot, Speedee. However, their best estimate is it was prepared around 1955.

Williams claims the burger was like a fine wine and he is grateful for the chance to literally taste history.

"They just don't make them like this anymore. I didn't taste a single preservative."

Williams says he is hopeful he'll find more sandwiches as he continues the work on his home.
