Nashville man devastated after prized air guitar stolen from storage unit

Nashville, TN - Nashville native Travis Ragsdale was devastated on Tuesday to discover his storage unit had been burglarized, and the perpetrator walked away with his $4,000 air guitar.

Ragsdale, who finished 2nd place in the 2021 Air Guitar Championships, says the loss is especially difficult because the guitar was a gift from his father.

"Materially, it's worth about four grand, but the sentimental value is priceless," said Ragsdale.

To make matters worse, the instrument was not insured. Records show Ragsdale has tried repeatedly to get a policy, but insurers denied his application after receiving the required photos of the guitar.

Police are currently investigating and have released surveillance images of a suspect holding the guitar on the night of the break-in. A hotline has also been set up for tips.

The owner asked the public, "If you have any information or see it somewhere, please call the hotline. And if you are the one who took it, please just return it. No questions asked. I just want it back."
