Rudy Giuliani's NY fishing license suspended over lies about 2020 catch sizes

New York City, New York - Just hours after Rudy Giuliani was barred from practicing law in New York, the NY Wildlife Commission unanimously voted to suspend the former mayor's fishing license over lies he told about 2020 catch sizes.

A spokesperson for Giuliani told reporters, "This is simply an act of retaliation over the undeniable fact that Mr. Giuliani caught the 20 largest fish in New York state history during one single outing in 2020. It's a fish witch hunt."

It is unclear how long the license will be suspended, but Giuliani is not too concerned based on his tweet late Thursday night. He wrote, "Get over yourself, New York. I don't care. I get my peaches out in Georgia. I get my fishes in California."

Giuliani did not explain the connection between peaches and fishing.
