Denver, CO - According to locker room reports, the Tennessee Titans spent three hours benching Marcus Mariota after their disastrous 16-0 loss in Denver on Sunday afternoon.
"Yeah, I benched him...and I wasn't the only one," said one Titans player who asked to remain anonymous. "He deserved it after that mess out there."
Stadium surveillance footage shows a long line of players, coaching staff, concession workers and one 78-year-old janitor waiting their turn to bench the struggling quarterback. Several hundred Titans fans asked to participate but were turned away by security.
At the time of this posting, Mariota's future role with the team is still in question. Mariota declined to comment about Sunday's game or the 3-hour benching.
