Nashville, TN - Walmart announced on Wednesday that the retail chain will soon be rolling out self-driving vehicles to deliver groceries right to your living room.
"We can't wait to start breaking down barriers with our new autonomous delivery service," said a spokesperson. "And are excited to bring our items right through your front door."
Later this year, the company will begin testing the driverless vehicles in Miami, Austin, and Washington, D.C. As an added bonus, the first 1,000 customers will receive a free $50 gift card good for any items in the home repair department.
The representative told reporters, "We are excited to see the impact this program can make on our customers' communities. It will further our mission to get products into the homes of our customers at unparalleled speeds."
