With fewer advertisers, Super Bowl viewers worry they may have to watch game

Tampa, FL - Multiple advertisers, including Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and Budweiser, are sitting out the Super Bowl this year, leaving many viewers worried they might have to watch the game.

"I watch for the commercials," said one man. "So, if there are going to be fewer commercials, that's a problem for me."

Thousands of viewers have turned to social media seeking insider information on the game to commercial ratio, but it is still unclear how the game will play out.

One woman posted, "I don't know how these things work, but surely they won't extend the game to fill in for missing commercials, will they?"

Others are concerned about the length of the half-time show, featuring The Weeknd.

"I don't know many of The Weeknd's songs, but I'm hoping they extend his performance to make up for the game. Maybe he could sing each song twice?" said one man.

Super Bowl kick-off is at 5:30 p.m. Central.
